Sellers Get 3x More Shoppers w/ Pro Membership
One thing we good for sellers is Bonanza offers a Pro Membership with 3 package price points at $25, $55, and $167 a month that’s suppose to help increase your daily page views and says “Get 3x More Shoppers” with turbo traffic.
Voted Best Place to Sell Online
You will find just about everything being sold at Bonanza, which is similar to eBay and Craigslist.
Bonanza was voted “Best Overall Marketplace” by over 50,000 sellers who voted them over eBay, Amazon, and Etsy.com.
They were was named “Best Entrepreneurial Company in America” by Entrepreneur Magazine in 2016.
Selling Fees Lower Then Amazon & eBay
Currently, the selling fee is 9%, which includes 5.5% for Google shopping ads plus 3.5% base fee, whereas Amazon is 20% and eBay is 12% seller fees.
With minimal fees for sellers, good customer support and a simple web store set up process, signing up for a free trial here is simple.
Bonanza also only takes a small fee for each sale—and only at the point of sale, not when posting.
Another thing to mention is there “Seller tips for Success” that’s worth taking a look at if you’re thinking about selling on Bonanza.
Buyers can make bids here, and the seller responds accordingly. It seems that buyers have unlimited bids, so there is a chance for negotiation.
The Not So Good
- Returns Can Vary Per Seller
- Must Research Seller for Reliability
- Lengthy Refund Process
- Fees
According to the Better Business Bureau, Bonanza.com currently has over 90 negative reviews filed against them even though they have an A+ overall BBB rating.
How to Check Each Sellers Return & Refund Policy
First, Bonanza doesn’t house or ship any inventory and they are a similar platform to eBay.com but will lower selling fees.
One thing we noticed is that returns can vary per seller with Bonanza and you can check the return policy under each seller details.
If you still need more information on the return process you can fill out the “Send them a message” to the seller on your order page, and you should hear back within 24-48 hours. You can also, check out the new Knowledge Base or the Community Help Forum they have on Bonanza’s website.
How to Know if Seller is Legit
A quick look at customer reviews and testimonials reveals that not all sellers here are legit at Bonanza.com.
Whether items were never received or not as described, research is recommended before buying—a little digging can help to avoid a great deal of trouble later on.
One way to make sure you have a positive buying experience is to look for items that have the “Top Rated Seller” status.
Canceling Your Pro Membership - Any Refund?
There are no refunds for canceling your Bonanza Pro Membership.
When in your account online go to “View Benefits” and there should be a link there to submit a cancelation request.

They cheated me with their fee. They gave a coupon to one of my buyers and did not remove it from their fee as their policy would indicate. Many many calls to support got me nowhere. My email to a company manager was ignored.
Not good people! Avoid them.
They take your order and money, you don’t receive your order, they email you back they have no responsibility and to contact the seller. I placed my order (their order # 80701408 on 3/21/21, for seeds, which I never received and, after I contacted Bonanza, Bonanza wrote back on 6/4/21 that they only take orders (and your money) and to contract the seller. What Bonanza DOESN”T address in their replies to you is that BONANZA took your money AND since your sales contract is with Bonanza not the seller, you cannot take the seller to small claims. So you are Sh$t outta luck. It’s a scam.
Worst site I have ever used got ripped off by one of their sellers and basically zero support from them. Use e-bay or amazon
For profit website make no mistake.
#1. ALWAYS READ REVIEWS ABOUT A WEBSITE BEFORE USING THEIR SERVICES! HOW DOES THE GENERAL PUBLIC FEEL ABOUT THE SERVICES THEY PROVED. 2020
*Bonanza will draw in the unsuspecting “victims,” people just curious about the websites features. You really need to read the fine print on the site, no service is really free on Bonanza, even with the “free” trial. If you have the intention to sell something, this site is a valid option. Bonanza is meant for small businesses or hobbyists already setup, mature, and ready to sell. Make no mistake the website THE owners are trying to profit from their website as well. There is work on both sides of this partnership venture.
*However! The one thing that really set me off about the website was how responsive the customer service was I am still waiting for a reply about a unexplained fee I received. Granit, I got distracted and forgot to cancel my subscription within the trial period, and it is a small charge to my bank account. However, if I were a seller, I wouldn’t bother putting my stuff on this website this site will piss off the potential buyers who just want to try out the features. I have bought two things from bonanza. They were delivered to the wrong address. And the items were difficult to track. I will not use their services again.
I currently sell on Bonanza, Buyers pay and orders are shipped within 2 business days. Couple buyers claim item never received or the wrong item sent, request pictures of items that they receive and tell them pictures are not correct. As a protective measure for sellers, I take pictures of every order before sending them to protect me as a seller. Through Bonanza, there is a lot of fraud from buyers and the other sellers. When you refund buyers for any reason, Bonanza puts your booth on hold. When you import your listings from eBay to save on commissions to Bonanza you pay commission both on eBay and Bonanza if your item sells. Bonanza does not refund transaction fees when you refund customers, they still bill you even after sending screenshots of the refunded transactions showing you that the order was refunded. For the refunded transactions, Bonanza does not update and constantly asking you to ship the order anyway.
If you sell on eBay also, do not import your items to Bonanza if you do and make a sale will pay double final transaction fees. Both eBay and Bonanza. Sold an item for $59.99, $18.96 went into final transaction fees for selling the product.
Buyers are wanting good deals, it’s impossible to offer good deals on Bonanza even though they suggest to offer free shipping. If you do offer free shipping, you have to mark the item at high prices to cover the cost of the product, shipping, and final value transaction fees.
It is better to just build trust up through e-commerce websites like Shopify or bigcommerce.
Never buy anything from this website. It is just a platform and the website takes no responsibilities if the seller doesn’t send you anything. This is what happened to me. I purchased something from a seller and paid via Paypal. After several hours, the website sent me a mail saying that seller had just been banned from the website due to violation of some rules, just after I made my payment. The website asked me to contact Paypal to dispute the charge. After I got rejected by Palpal, the website asked me to file a dispute to my credit card company. When I asked why Bonanza takes no responsibilities of any fraud happens on its website and why Bonanza has no control of its sellers, one of its managers replied me: ” Bonanza is an online marketplace that connects buyers to transact directly with individual sellers.”, “The entities that can issue you a refund are PayPal or your credit card company. ” and “If there’s anything else that we can do to help please let me know.”. You see, they just provide a platform and you take all the risks and painful effort to get your money back if something bad happens. I really don’t recommend this website. Buy things from Amazon or Ebay which are far more reliable, responsible and customer friendly.
I have tried at least 3 times to get sales on Bonanza I sell on Etsy and Ebay 1 sale on
Bonanza even tried paying for traffic nothing
I recently made a purchase from Go Nutra on Bonanza…accidently ordered the wrong product and tried every way possible to reach them to get it corrected. They ignored ALL my
messages and shipped the incorrect order.
Back to ebay, I guess….
I would just like to add a Serious Caution on selling on BONANZA. I made a few sales there and then got a bunch of no pay’s. Guess what. There is no way to cancel an order for non payment and Bonanza wants the commission anyway. They ended up billing me a lousy $32 for orders never paid for and thus not shipped. I consider them to be nothing more than scammers. How do you charge commission when payment or non payment goes through your site and you can clearly see it was not paid for. I would steer clear of BONANZA
In my experience I have found the sellers on the Bonanza website and Bonanza itseft wholly untrustworthy, in regards to the way they treat the buyer .
I bought a wall decal for my daughter from Decal Geek on the website, the item did not even leave there warehouse, they lied about giving me a refund until the paypal buyers protection had expired then totally ignored my emails and request for my promised refund, Bonanza itself was totally useless, they understood the situation in regards to the buyers behaviour and did NOTHING.
Never again will I use this website to purchase anything.
No item received, sent to the wrong address.
Then no refund , just told to claim off my credit card company …..
Cowboys.
BEWARE if you dont get your item, dont expect sympathy. You are on your own.
Complete waste of your time as a seller. I have over 400 sales on Ebay and was looking for another online site to sell on because Ebay is terrible for small sellers. Guess what? So is Bonanza. They simply have no buyers and they do not advertise their site so hardly anyone knows about it. I think I had items on there for two years off and on and made one sale in all that time. Bonanza will charge a seller a commission, even though the buyer has not paid for the item. Customer service is horrible and rarely gets back to you. Ebay is bad and Bonanza even more so, stay clear.
WARNING YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF
I left two credit card numbers expiration date three digit code and neither were excepted which is BS. They are sound. So it worries me that bonanza has not one but two of my payment information’s that were not excepted. I am 67, and pay my bills weekly. I don’t carry debt. So I wonder if this site is authentic.
2 instances.
#1. Paid for an item and waited for item to arrive. 4 days later I asked for Tracking number, they sent Refund, I didn’t ask for a refund. Messaged seller, no response. Messaged SUPPORT, no response. ( SCAM ??? )
#2. Made an offer on an item. 2 days later, my “Account” I noticed my offer had vanished. No message why, just POOF! ( SCAM? )
.
As far as I’m concerned they’re a SCAM website.
.
#1, If you pay seller through Pay Pal your purchase is protected. #2. The “Sales” and customers count, (seen on upper left of seller home page), on Bonanza is the combination of Ebay plus Bonanza. It is not just Bonanza. A seller who sells on both sites may have the same items on both Bonanza and Ebay since you can transfer items from Ebay to Bonanza and retain the same items in Ebay. Sooooo two different buyers can attempt to buy the same item on (2) sites. (Are you confused??) Here is an example: If you purchase an item on Bonanza and the seller does not delete it from ebay; then it can be sold again. (and vice/versa). Bonanza AND ebay work together. If you have a lot of items on ebay and want to sell on Bonanza, you are just a click away. Think twice about Bonanza.
The worst!
This company is a scam they don’t reply.the sellers talk down to you.I paid for hair clippers 79.95 the sent an envelope as a tracking package. the USPS check its image and said it was a flat envelope no more then 1oz. they said there would be no way a 16 p.c kit with hair clipper would’ve been in it. the sender say the tracker said delivered yes but not my order. don’t use them I check before using them google said nice company. total lost please don’t use them.

They lost my item and after several weeks they admitted it was sent to the wrong address and offered me a refund…..that was 6 weeks ago, no reponse and no item and no refund.
Anyone at bonanza reading this my Order No is 56883458
Please help.
Buyer beward.
It’s a bulls**t website. Ordered something that never came in, left message to seller no reply. Come to find out they haven’t had any activity in severel weeks on their account. Bulls**t bonanza should have a program that lets them know if an account hasen’t been active for a while so they don’t sell to anyone they can’t deliver to. Contacting the FTC about them.
Worst shopping experiance i ever had, item not delivered, no reponse to my 4 emails, just took my money, probably laughing all the way to the bank.
Please beware if you are considering purchasing from this company.
Spent 10 years there selling. Sold over 100 items. Few customers. Then one night a captcha got me. Contacted support they blamed Norton, my ISP, my computer, everyone but themselves. Norton spent 2 hrs checking out my computer – no problems, ISP checked no problems, two computer experts said Bonanza problem. I was posting in the Ask The Community to see if anyone else was having this problem, found a couple but Bonanza kept deleting the posts. Then they blocked me from posting there, blocked me from using the chat box in my booth and blocked me from using the Bmail. If someone sends a Bmail with a question I can’t even answer it. Support won’t even answer my questions any more as I wanted to know why I was blocked. So I don’t recommend selling here. I wasted 10 years just to get locked out with no explanation. There are other sites. And Bonanza doesn’t have many customers plus you have to pay a higher % if you want you items advertised and then they are miss marked.
Awful costumer service. No chance of a refund . If you dont receive it…..tough. you are on your own.
Never again, i lost $50 . But i gained a lesson on where not to buy. That is Bonanza.
I imported more than 1K items from eBay a month ago, where I have also been selling for years.
More than a 1000 items, the busiest selling month of the year (December) and not a single sale on Bonanza… (more than a 100 sales on eBay and 50 on Tradesy during the same month…)
The concept is great, the import process fine, but at the end of the day, when the site does not bring any buyers, the question is what is the point?
I will give it a bit more time – if there are no sales in the next couple of weeks, I will chuck this one as a a bit of a waste of time, and deactivate the booth, as I just can’t justify spending any time even monitoring this one.
Dana, at least for me, this is not a successful or profitable site on which to sell item. Nothing sells on this site…
Sellers beware! If you have one sale go south, Bonz will just boot you off with no explanation. Doesn’t matter if you’re a top-rated seller, have a paid membership and money in your shipping account with over 400 positive reviews, they won’t even allow you to share your side of the situation.
A buyer sent back an item that was damaged so I offered a partial refund. Next day, I was completely booted off the site, unable to even log in.
Any sellers considering using Bonz, DON’T! They used to be friendly and reasonable, now they’re a gestapo-wanna be. Read the user agreement carefully and you’ll see what I mean.
