CONS for FreedomPop Reviews 2020
While FreedomPop offers ridiculously low prices for their month-to-month cellular plans, it does come at a significant cost. Their service range is limited to large metropolitan areas and interstate corridors. If you live in a rural area, the service will be spotty at best. This is because it’s built on the Sprint backbone, which has been known not to do well in these rural areas of the U.S. They also do not offer 4G LTE with their plans. This is in part due to the fact that their mobile hotspots are only WiMAX-enabled. WiMAX is not ubiquitous, and therefore, speeds will vary significantly depending on where you live. FreedomPop.com is not available in every state yet, which is a little bit of hassle, especially if you travel frequently.
- Limited Service Range (Rural Coverage is Poor)
- Slower Speeds Than Larger Competitors (No 4G LTE)
- Not Available Everywhere (Yet)

They retired 200/200/500 plan I was signed for and requested either to accept new 5/25/25 or to cancel account. I cancelled account and asked to refund unused funds from it. How naive I was.. They told me because I cancelled the account, I was not anymore in their refund policy.

Well, actually, as of November 2015, WiMax is dead and buried as far as cellular phone service in the USA is concerned.
