Is Hotelopia Legit, Safe & Reliable?
Pros: Hotelopia.com Review
If you are looking to book a hotel in destinations such as the USA, Nassau, Martinique, Paris, Vienna, Bangkok or Zanzibar, then the website Hotelopia is the place for you.
This is because they offer hundreds of connections to hotels in each place that you are interested in.
Their online gateway allows you to browse through a wide range of hotels that you can choose from.
Aside from that, the Hotelopia.com reviews have been quite positive regarding their experience and this is probably the reason why there are many customers who are relying on their booking services.
- Online Reservations Portal
- Thousands of Hotels
- Safe & Secure Transactions

Cons: Hotelopia.com Review
Perhaps the only drawback that can be said in the Hotelopia.com reviews is that the Hotelopia.com does not offer live chat support to their customers.
It would be a great opportunity for people to gain access to such a feature in order to have their inquiries answered and even minor quotes provided when they are needed.
This is something that you will want to keep an eye on later on.
- No Live Chat Support

What a horrible experience. While the reservation process itself was reasonably straight forward, and the price OK – I never received an email confirmation.
The absolute worst thing though is a total and complete lack of customer service. They have all these phone numbers – but after calling 4 times, being on hold each time for 20+ minutes and then getting disconnected – I gave up.
Do NOT under any circumstances use this website/company to make hotel reservations.
I booked a hotel stay in Jersey last september for a week long stay this august 14th 2021. Sadly ,for family reasons I had to cancel last week. Hotelopia e mailed me saying my £930 would be credited to my account within 5 days. Next day I receeived a credit from Hotelopia in my account for £867-07p. A quick response from them but paying me back £67 too little. It is almost impossible to contact this company apart from calling them on an expensive international line.
I made a booking with this company on line but after I had input my card details a message popped up saying that the booking was unsuccessful and to contact regarding payment.
I called customer services who told me that the payment would not go through even though it was showing as pending on my on-line banking.
A couple of days later I noticed that the payment had been taken from my account. I called customer services only to be put through to a lady called Aria who did not understand my problem. When I explained that money had been taken but I had no booking she just kept saying ‘ have you a booking reference ‘. No matter how often I said that I had no booking confirmation and therefore no reference Aria kept on asking for it. The best way she found to help was by cutting me off!!!
I actually called seven times but for some reason it was only Aria picking up the call and yes – Aria kept cutting me off. I can assure you I was polite
I am now on the position whereby this company is withholding almost £300 from me. I have contacted my bank and they are going to investigate as I do not know what else to do to get my money back!
I have never ever before dealt with such inexperienced customer services who don’t even understand what you are saying!! This is the worst company I have dealt with. They have the most unacceptable way of treating customers and Hotelopia should be ashamed of themselves.
I will be reviewing them on other sites and will update if I get my money back!!
I would never use Hotelopia again. Hotelopia made a reservation for a hotel in Murcia, Spain for June, 2017. However, the hotel was closed due to flooding in December 2016. Hotelopia refused to give a refund and said that I had to book new accommodation before I could get my money back. I was reluctant to do so, however, my flights were already booked at it was only a few weeks until my holiday was supposed to commence. Once I booked the new accommodation Hotelopia did not provide a refund as promised. Hotelopia did not reply to emails and terminated phone calls. I have complained to the Head Office who simply said that they have passed the complaint to another department. I have had no reply. I booked my holiday in December, 2016 and paid £765.96 and it is now October, 2017 and I have not had refund. This company is a disgrace. I am 79 years of age and feel disgusted by Hotelopia’s fraudulent behaviour and dreadful customer service.
