I booked a flight from Canada to a country in SEA (not disclosing to protect privacy). They did issue my e-ticket quickly. I will give them that. It came in two days.
But the nightmare began when one of the legs of the trip was cancelled. They let me know and told me they will have to re-issue my ticket to me with updated details. Two weeks out before the flight I waited patiently for this re-issued ticket. I began to get nervous after several day passed so I called the customer service line to check on the status of my ticket. I’m told to wait a couple of days. Alright, one week from the flight I call again. Same answer, wait a couple of days and the re-issued ticket will come my way. The day BEFORE my flight I call again and they tell me “Two hours, the re-issued ticket will be sent to you”. 4 hours pass. AND NOTHING. At this point I am panicking. Without this re-issed ticket can I board my first flight? No representative can answer my questions. It’s like they have acquired an army of untrained employees scrambling amongst themselves to find a proper answer to an easy question.
Now I just want a solid answer and apparently they must speak to a supervisor. They put me on hold to ge a supervisor and then hang up after putting me on hold for a couple of minutes. MULTIPLE TIMES. What in the world? I have no qualms being put on hold for a long time. But please do not HANG UP and have me call back again and explain everything again to another representative? This situation is already confusing as is. I’m not giving up, I fly tomorrow and I keep calling back until finally someone picks up and says a leg of my flight is cancelled, so now I have to pay $600 to reissue my ticket with the cancelled flight taken off. What in the world? A flight is being taken off of my itenerary and I need to pay MORE for this? It was ridiculous. I then asked if I could just cancel and rebook this flight without the last leg of my trip. They said there was no flight available. I ended up cancelling everything and booking with Flight Hub. Strange thing is I found the exact same flight with the same airline despite them saying there was no flights…
Just sounds like they are trying to scam inexperienced flyers into paying a “re-issuing” fee. Still waiting for my refund…
booked my flight, credit card was charged and was told email will follow with confirmation. Took my money and there’s no ticket confirmation nor email!!!!! Help support on site jis useless, they just shuts you down . Do not book with sky scanner!!!!!!!!!!!!!
