Opening a book is a very slow process, it takes a long time to load. Sadly that long loading time does not go away the whole time you are using the book either whenever you try and move forward a chapter or so it lags quite hard.
You’ll pay almost double for a 30-day rental instead of buying the real book… don’t use it if you don’t have too. My book expired a day before my exam and they said the only way to get one extra day would be to pay the rental fee again over 100$. It’s way overpriced. The paperback book was 24$ to own! I’m just deployed so I couldn’t get the real deal.
They illegally charged my card for something I did not receive, then when I disputed the charge they said it was not their problem. The only thing they are reliable in is stealing money. They are not legit nor safe. STAY AWAY!!!
I was hopeful this site would allow me to rent textbooks and have easy access to them for school. For the most part it did, and then I started using the app and everything I actually was excited about went out of the window. The book is constantly shutting down on its own while I am using it. The features such as navigation are useless because they do not cooperate with commands. The many glitches are unbearable after and can be frustrating when trying to do work and use the book at the same time. I would not recommend this source to anyone unless you are in need of a textbook quick and don’t have to use it often.
I ordered a book from Ebook Vital and expected to receive the download within 30 minutes to 24 hours as the order form indicated. It has now been 5 days. I’ve tried twice to call the number listed at the bottom of their home page but could not get through because the number was indicated to be “busy” by a recording. I emailed 24 hours ago and have not received any kind of communication in response. Even though the amount I spent was minimal, I was definitely looking forward to the book.
I’ll not use this company again and will not recommend it to anyone I know.
Always find what I need for a great price. eTextbooks are the way to go and I love being able to access my textbook from anywhere.
The worst e-book website. You cannot even download the books…
I am a college student and a textbook for one of my classes is only accessible to me through VitalSource. The night before my final exam in the class, there was some sort of error with the website and I was unable to access the textbook to review for the test. Unreliable and inconsistent service, won’t use it again.
