WorldRemit.com Review
WorldRemit is a company that specializes in transferring money from anywhere to anywhere. They are a low cost alternative to many other services including doing traditional wire transfers and bank to bank transfers. WorldRemit has streamlined and revolutionized how we send and receive money internationally. Their platform is super simple and easy to use, and is very fast. A big question that people have is, are they secure? You can be assured that they have taken all the necessary steps in the background to ensure that all of the transactions are secure. They also have multiple options for receiving money including, bank deposit, cash pickup, mobile money, or airtime pop-up. You can pay from your debit card, credit card, or a bank transfer. To be sure that they are a legitimate company, WorldRemit has received the backing of Accel Partners, which is one of the world’s leading investment companies.

What I Didn’t Like
WorldRemit.com Review
The only negative thing that I could gather from WorldRemit is that they do have some fees for sending money. While this may the case, they are considerably much small when compared to other money transfer services. Some services can charge almost as much as the actual transfer. WorldRemit was created to offset the fees and only require a small fee for their transactions. From what I could find, they are one of the best options for transferring money anywhere in the world. WorldRemit is one of safest money transfers services available today.

Overall Thoughts
WorldRemit.com Review
With the ability to send money to over 110 countries, WorldRemit truly has a global reach. Overall, they are a great alternative for transferring money internationally. This is because they only charge fees that are a fraction of the cost of other services, and their system is by far the easiest to use. They have convenient mobile apps to send and receive money through the use of a mobile wallet. They also have a great step by step on their site WorldRemit.com, that explains the process and how it all works. I love that WorldRemit puts all their fees upfront, so you know what you’ll be paying in advance.

I am beginning to think this thing is a scam. But I will wait and see if my money is delivered.
This is the worst remittance service I have ever used and once the money I sent is received on the other side I’m cancelling the account. There is no way you can talk to anyone when you have a query. Their contact mediums are fake. I use my ID with about three other services without a problem but a simple transfer involving a very small amount has to take more than two days to verify. With Mukuru money is received within an hour. This is a total waste of time.
I found this company through a Google search for ways to send money to Africa. I needed to pay someone to perform a local service and also have a friend in that country, so I sent two transfers. The first one was confirmed so I notified to receiver that the money was available for him to pick up. In the middle of the night both transactions were suddenly cancelled and I was notified by e-mail that my account was disabled. This was unexpected and I called for an explanation, and the gist of it was that Worldremit didn’t feel these two transactions (under $30 each) were appropriate. Imagine my embarrassment since my employee in Cameroon spent a futile afternoon trying to pick up the money in Douala. Just be aware this can happen to you if you use this service. It took nearly a week to get the money back that I entrusted to Worldremit. I finally was able to send money through Western Union, and I recommend Western Union if you need to be sure.
Sadly, I have had this exact same issue with Western Union. Western Union has said money is available for collection so my friend goes to collect but is told it is still being processed. I then get an email saying it has been cancelled with no real explanation as to why. This has happened on numerous occasions. I will no longer use Western Union. They have treated my friend and I as criminals when the transactions are small and legitimate.
THEY WITHDREW THE MONEY FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT AND THEN PROMPTLY DISABLED THE ACCOUNT!
For my first experience with WorldRemit, I am left with a very poor opinion of this company and services. This was much worse than most other online transactions I have encountered.
After I sent the money, I got a message that said: “Account disabled,” which is severely vague. This error message only serves to SCARE people and make them look like ONLINE FRAUD!
This seems to be a fraudulent service and I will be seeking remedy. This merely wasted my time during an emergency.
