Cons: Refurb.io Review
The only negative aspect when shopping at Refurb.io at this time is that they only provide 90 days of warranty to people who purchase items such as laptop batteries, tablets and other Apple products from them.
This means that they won’t have enough time to really test an item out if it has any problems and by the time they do, the warranty would most likely be up.
This can be quite frustrating for people especially to those who have been used to getting a longer warranty than this.

Disgraceful customer service, barely able to understand them, never ever again. Computer arrived with a fist size hole in some trash looking box, with no power cord Horrible mistake beware, they could not care less!!! Did not even return my call when I phoned to report the issue.
DO NOT BUY FROM REFURB.io – I recently purchased 7 of these “Dell” Microsoft Certified Refurbished computers from REFURB.io
I had problems with 4 of them right from the start – Win 10 not activating and hardware issues.
Open them up to find Refurb.io had stripped out HALF of the quality Dell components and replaced them with cheap, off or no brand Chinese components (SSD and Memory).
The company would not respond to support requests, I had no option than to replace all of the ssd’s and memory at my expense and when the company finally reached out after a dozen emails and complaints, they offered nothing to assist me.
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS – what they advertise is NOT what you get and they will NOT stand behind them.

I bought an HP Elite probook and when I received it the webcam didn’t work, and the computer was dirty as if someone spilled their milk on it. I returned the unit and they sent another. This one came with someones CD in the drive. So immediately I suspected that they don’t really go over them with a fine tooth comb. After 5 months , my older daughter and I were using it and it just died. the screen went black. I sent in for a repair and when we packed it up, my daughter bumped it on the edge of the counter putting in box. When Refurbio received it they refused warranty due to cosmetic damage and wouldn’t even tell me what was wrong, they refused to diagnose the problem because it may have nothing to do with a cosmetic dent on the side…… then they wanted money to send it back to me. I told them I would pay for the repair, I just needed it to work. They said they don’t have parts and the supervisor also said no. What computer company doesn’t repair, isn’t that part of refurbishing???? It was 2 weeks of arguing with them and getting no help, they sent it back and did not send the cord. I then had to ask them to mail cord back. This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had, Just because the case has some cosmetic marking , like a car with a dent, doesn’t mean the engine stops working. They even told me I should just buy a new computer after giving the $340 just months ago. So I have taken to an outside repair company and they said no problem , just the screen is not functioning and they are repairing. Refurbio will never get my money or anyone I know , due to their very poor service. Not once did they say
” Let’s see what we can do to help you” Basis of good service starts there!!!!!!!
So far so good, Prices are good, Good product, Not the best customer service, It took several days to ship my order from the time I ordered, at this time I can not say anything about guaranty I just got my laptop a week ago and works OK, I think it’s a gamble, and it’s a risk I took for the low price
I bought the lenovo thinkpad T430 i5 stating windows 10 professional yet it is saying I do not have it and have to buy it. I keep leaving messages to refurg.io and they have not returned any of my phone calls. I am planning on returning the laptop, very unsatisfied.
I ordered a Dell P2414H monitor from Refurb.io and received a scratched up Dell U2412M, which is 2 years older and considerably worse in specs. I spent a week emailing their support back-and-forth, after which they told me they didn’t even have any P2414H monitors in stock. They wanted me to either waste my time mailing it back for their mistake, or take a $10 refund. I looked specifically for a P2414H for weeks and paid $130 expecting to actually receive it. Instead I got an old monitor that I could have bought for $90 in the first place. It is very unprofessional that they would sell a product they don’t even have… in fact it took them another few days to even remove its listing from the site.

Most of the laptops are in good condition. I would say I had a defective rate of about 1~2 for every 10 laptops purchased. They are refurbished laptops so I understand that can happen.
The only down side is the support. If you try to reach Refurb.io, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. Their message box is always full and they take forever to answer email and most of the time they just dont answer your emails.
They are actually purchasing laptops from CNB Computers which is a refurbisher and distributor (Where you cannot actually purchase if you are not a company) Their price is honestly really good, you can get some good quality computers for a cheap price. For the laptops where i’ve had issues, I contacted CNB Directly and had no problem what so ever.
Overall I do recommend purchasing their but keep in mind you will need to contact a Third party for your warranty. (You will recieve all the info in the box with your purchase)
I wish I had seen these reviews before opting to buy a refurbished laptop from refurb.io. I bought a Lenovo X220 and within 2 months of using the laptop it started having random shutdowns. This is a known Lenovo X220 issue which also I wish I had searched before making the purchase. So, I contacted refurb.io and they e-mailed a prepaid shipping label. A month after sending the laptop to refurb.io and with no communication I sent them e-mails inquiring about the issue and was told that the motherboard showed liquid damage and the warranty was void. I have asked them for proof of the liquid damage and have not heard anything back since. I got the laptop back today with a note saying liquid damage and the warranty is void. Just like the other posters have mentioned the warranty is just a sham and the liquid damage seems to be a standard reply they use to avoid fixing any issues with the refurbished laptops.
